Areola restoration In Calgary

Areola restoration In Calgary_

As a compassionate and skilled permanent makeup artist, I am dedicated to helping breast cancer survivors and individuals who have undergone a mastectomy or any breast surgery regain their confidence and feel whole again through the art of areola tattooing.

This service is very near and dear to my heart: I lost my mom to Breast Cancer in 2003. Yes, it was a long time ago and I feel blessed I can now offer this service to others who have gone through this journey!

WHAT ARE 3D NIPPLE TATTOOS?

Areola tattooing, also known as nipple tattooing or 3D areola restoration, is a specialized technique that recreates the natural appearance of the areola and nipple complex. This transformative procedure is not just about aesthetics; it is about empowering individuals and providing them with a sense of closure and healing after their breast reconstruction journey.

IS A 3D AREOLA TATTOO RIGHT FOR YOU?

Tattooing of nipples and areolas can be an empowering process, allowing individuals to gain more comfort and acceptance with their natural or reconstructed breasts. You might consider our services to be an ideal solution if you identify with any of the following scenarios:

  • Loss of colour of the nipple for any reason
  • Survivor of breast cancer
  • Reconstruction of the breasts
  • After a mastectomy
  • Restoration of the areola
  • Gender confirming surgery

WHAT TO EXPECT

At REFLECTIVE BEAUTY PMU Studio, I understand the emotional and physical impact breast cancer and surgeries can have on individuals. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment where you can openly express your needs, concerns, and desires. I am here to listen, support, and guide you through the entire process of areola tattooing.

STEP 1
During the consultation, we will discuss your unique goals and preferences. I will carefully analyze the symmetry, shape, colour, and texture of your natural areolas to ensure the most realistic and harmonious result. Together, we will choose the perfect pigment shade that matches your skin tone and complements your overall appearance.

STEP 2
The actual areola tattooing process involves the use of specialized pigments and techniques to recreate the intricate details of the areola, including colour variations, textures, and shading. With precise artistry and a keen eye for detail, I will delicately blend the pigments to achieve a natural, 3-dimensional effect that mimics the appearance of a genuine areola.

REMEMBER
Throughout the procedure, your comfort and well-being are my top priorities. I employ strict hygiene protocols and use only sterile, top-quality equipment to ensure your safety. I will also provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to promote optimal healing and longevity of the tattoo.

TREATMENT FAQS

Typically, securing a 3D Areola tattoo from a certified tattoo specialist can cost approximately $350 for a single nipple and around $600 for both nipples, should you choose to pay independently. You can visit our service page to understand our pricing structure better.

As the pigment settles into its form, microblading can take about 10 to 14 days to heal properly.

Post-mastectomy, it's common to experience breast numbness, as nerve damage during the procedure often leads to a reduction in breast sensation.

The amount of discomfort experienced during the nipple and areola tattooing process varies from individual to individual. However, it's important to remember that the sensitivity of your reconstructed breast is typically diminished. Therefore, discomfort is usually minimal to nonexistent.

You might experience some slight tingling or unease, but these sensations can usually be mitigated with the application of a numbing cream or a topical anaesthetic during the procedure.

For patients with implants, it's important to note that they might feel an increased vibration on their skin during the procedure. This sensation isn't painful, but it's worth knowing in advance what to expect.

Although tattoos are generally designed to be permanent, in most instances, the ink is softened to create a natural blend with each individual's skin tone. Factors such as exfoliation, the use of body creams, circulation, and overall aftercare of the tattoo contribute to fading over time. It's typical that after about five years, you may need to rejuvenate the colour.

When executing the tattoo, our usual approach is to aim for a lighter hue rather than a darker one, which might necessitate a second visit. It's important to remember that it's easier for us to intensify the shade than to lighten it before the process is finished. Thus, opting for a brighter shade is usually more advantageous than choosing a darker one.
